We know your belongings are important and in times of heightened risk there are also many concerns around airport and airline security. We’ve developed our services alongside the Civil Aviation Authority and British Airways to ensure our processes meet aviation security regulations and to give you peace of mind every step of the way.

Sealed and secured

All bags are sealed with tamper aware technology upon collection and remain sealed until they are handed to British Airways for your flight. Vehicles also remain locked at all times when in service and under CCTV surveillance during loading at our warehouses.

Screening

All luggage is pre-screened to an airport HBS standard before arriving to the airport to ensure they don’t contain any prohibited items or dangerous goods. They are scanned again upon delivery to the airport so AirPortr is an additional level of security when you travel.

Fully vetted staff

All of our staff are subject to a strict interview process and comprehensive security clearance, vetting and referencing so you can be reassured your bags are in safe hands.

Identity verification

If using Bag Check-In, we pre-verify that you have a genuine booking with British Airways before we pick up your luggage and reconfirm at the time of pick up by scanning your boarding pass. We also scan your passport and carry out a physical ID match at the door to authenticate your identity.

We are an official partner of Heathrow, London City and Gatwick airports so you don’t need to worry about any security implications of using the service to deliver your luggage.

Are the AirPortr services secure?

AirPortr services are UK Aviation Security Regulation Compliant and we are an official partner of Heathrow, London City and Gatwick airports. All drivers are subject to strict interview processes and criminal background checks so you can be reassured your bags are in safe hands.

Can I check in buggies, wheelchairs and children's car seats?

We can check in buggies car seats and wheelchairs for Bag Check-In bookings. You simply need to add this as a bag to your booking (either checked or standard depending if you need it at the airport) and add a note when prompted to let us know about the extra bag and its contents.

Can I use the service if I have oversized luggage?

If you’re using Bag Check-In your checked baggage must be within your booked allowance for your flight. You can find this information on your British Airways e-ticket or you can check Manage My Booking on ba.com.

How can I make changes to my booking?

You can edit your booking by logging into your account, selecting 'View booking' and then 'Edit' on the area of your booking you want to change. Bookings changes can be made up to 2 hours before collection. There are no administration charges.
